I've been photographing this family since their daughter was an infant. This session was at a local shady beach. The only beach in Falmouth that allows dogs during the season. Their dog, Brady, passed this winter but lived to see four New England Patriot Super Bowl wins in his lifetime. Good dog!
I think they made a great choice wearing various pinks and jeans. To me, there's just something about a man in a pink buttondown shirt.
I post this with such a sad heart. I was informed the other day that my beautiful client Nancy, had passed away. Her husband called to ask to use this portrait beside her casket. She was only 66 and died due to surgical dificulties. Nancy was so full of life when I made these portraits the summer of 2014. She really had a ball that day. We all did. It was 6:30am at Loop Beach in Couit. The young boys were great at that time of day.
Such busy beautiful boys!
Grandpa Mike was holding tight. I loved the flow of Nancy's dress.
The boys will always know how much they were loved by their Grandmother when they view this portrait.
I love what I do! I get to work with families who want to be together and capture that closeness. We were supposed to get together on a Tuesday night, an hour before sunset, but it poured rain. We could only reschedule the next morning because one family member had to go back home. I arrived at 6:15 am and the light was lovely. The very youngest family member, a very busy two year old, was great to work with. It was his time of day! The adults had their coffee and everyone loved the quiet, calm beach.
Here's what they had to say-"I just wanted to thank you for the pictures. They look terrific! How you got all 15 of us smiling at once - especially at 6:30 am, I will never know! As I had told you when I booked the session, Grandma has been talking about having a family picture done on that beach for the past 17 years. This was really the perfect way to celebrate her 90th birthday. She is thrilled with the way everything came out. Thanks again for capturing a wonderful family memory!"
I received this email today and wanted to share.
Thank you Amy! I received our pictures! We love them! Thank you so much for taking such great pics of our family. I can't wait to hang up the big one.
Back at the beach photographing families. It was a full weekend of family portraits. This session was Friday at a private beach in Waquoit Bay. The Dad was celebrating his 70th birthday and they were thrilled to have their family together for the first time in over a year. It was a little breezy and cool but we found a spot in the lee of the wind and the light was lovely.
